So as you may or may not know, one of the very few gaming events to hit UK shores happened over the last weekend. The MCM Expo which turned out to be another great success in regards to attendance and the quality of games being shown off by developers. The list consisted of The Darkness 2, Skyrim, Street Fighter v Tekken, so on and so forth.

Now you may think that one of these games may have grabbed my “Best Game” at the show award, if you did then you would have been soooooooo wrong. That honor would go to Double Six for bringing over “ALL ZOMBIES MUST DIE”. A great XLBA and PSN title coming to are consoles in early 2012.

AZMD is a top down shooter much like the Dead Ops mode found in Call of Duty: Black Ops only much better. It has a very comic book look and feel to it which makes the whole process of kicking the crap out of zombies more fun……..right?…..maybe it’s just me then.

Here’s the premise in a nut shell….. All Zombies Must Die is the spiritual successor to the hit arcade game “Burn Zombie Burn” which was released on the PSN, PC, and MAC back in March 2009. It builds on the core twin stick shooter experience with a frenetic four player co-op mode, and an open world to explore that contains a serious Zombie infection!, it’s an isometric shooter with RPG elements where the player must defeat waves of zombies to uncover the mystery of the town of Deadhill. You play as Jack who has been dumped by his girlfriend. As you play through each level you’ll try to (hopefully) get your lady back who has left you because you play way to many video games, but it’s only because you play so many games that you have all the skills to fight off the horde of zombies coming your way…..Now that my sound simple and well yes it is but that’s the beauty of it.

As mentioned, it’s 4 player local Co-op which is great when you have friends and family around but if you haven’t then tough as there is no multiplayer option now but Double Six aren’t saying never they just want to concentrate on DLC for the time being. That’s not to say that you can’t play on your own but I found that the more players the merrier as there’s friendly fire so you can shot the crap out of someone for taking the last of the ammo.

So to finish off this little piece, I would like to say thanks to Double Six for giving us a great game and say well done for having the GAME OF THE SHOW (in my own opinion), and to Aaron Yeung who took time out from his busy Zombie schedule to have a chat and walk us through the game.
